Dear Sir,

good day sir...i am stuck in a problem of updating progress and i need to submit monthly report ..
every thing is alright except some bars which are showing bar neck (giving the impression that it is nonworking time) but other bars at the same period showing full bar
sir plzzz guide me how to solve this probelm...?

could be a couple of thiings

1. check all of your bars go to view ars then choose a bar and look at the Bar Settting tab and make sure that there are no boxes check under the Bar necking setting

also look at your calendars they may be different

SIR!!
i have already checked my calander it is same for all activities
in the setting i myself check the bar neck setting but if there is any nonwork that should be same for all bar.. but
the below is the detail of the problem
in status tab when i update actual data under duration head e.g.
actual duration = 72
i put remaing duration = 308
at completion it should be 380 but is showing 420.....thats y bar neck is there i could not fix this problem
please help sir...?

need to see all of this in detail to correct your problem

please take screen shots of calendars

and bar necking settings

and the duration that you speak of

almost I need to you to highlight the two bars the actual work bar and the remaining work bar

and see the bar settings

the screen shots that you attached were the bare setting for remaning level of effort

as far as the durations are concerned I they look ok but you need to look at the predecessors to the work and see if it is holding up the reaming portion of uncompleted work

also i have put one predessor example for your information may b i will help more to understand

although your idea regarding the predessor may be most probable situation in this case.

i have a querry regarding the duration % complete

if i put duration percent complete e.g 50% the percent complete bar increase by 50% but y the remaining work bar decrease by same percentage

that is correct is you have a 10 day activity and it is 50% complete

then you only have 5 days remaining
